Disneyland® Resort Enhances Guest Experiences with Next-Gen Attraction Technology
In 2023, Disney will mark its 100th anniversary, celebrating a century of ground breaking storytelling that has entertained and inspired people of all ages. Disney 100 will also offer exciting opportunities for fans and families of all ages to relive their most beloved Disney memories and to delight in new experiences tied to this momentous milestone.
Next-gen attractions like Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and other famous Disney theme park experiences at Disneyland® Park often require access to powerful tools, like edge computing, powerful hardware, innovative robotics, and control systems to bring data to life, which help create new and amazing experiences for Guests.
Edge computing provides the opportunity for data aggregation and management directly from Disney’s attractions systems. Keeping this data at the edge reduces the cycle time for data collection, which means faster results and a more efficiently managed attraction.
HPE edge technology arms Disney engineers and maintenance personnel with a thorough and real-time understanding of the operations of the Audio-Animatronics figures and trackless ride systems. Because Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway uses tags on the ride surface for guidance, so they can point their support team to these tags as needed, keeping the attraction operating at peak efficiency.
